Position: Technical Product Owner
Location: Overland Park,KS /Atlanta, GA

Job Description:
  • As a Technical Product Owner, you will play a critical role in driving the development of new features, enhancements, and integrations related to our Digital services platform.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, business stakeholders, and product managers, to define product requirements, prioritize features, and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
  • You will also leverage your technical expertise to ensure our Java-based microservices architecture and cloud infrastructure support the evolving needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for the digital platforms, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Work with leadership to develop and maintain the product roadmap, balancing customer needs, business priorities, and technical constraints.
Requirements Definition:
  • Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements for payment features, ensuring they align with business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical requirements and work with engineering teams to ensure proper implementation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities for product improvements and new functionalities.
  • Ensure smooth communication between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Backlog Management: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog for features, ensuring that user stories are clearly defined and achievable within each sprint.
  • Make data-driven decisions to ensure maximum business value is delivered.
Technical Expertise:
  • Leverage your expertise in Java-based microservices and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) to guide technical decision-making and ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture discussions when required.
Delivery & Continuous Improvement:
  • Work closely with development teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver product features. Facilitate sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Monitor product performance post-launch, gather feedback, and drive improvements.
Customer Focus:
  • Advocate for the customer by continuously seeking feedback and driving features that enhance the user experience.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscapes to keep the product competitive
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a technical environment o Strong background in managing, and optimizing Java-based microservices.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed systems. o Proven experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native technologies and microservices patterns (containers, Kubernetes, serverless, etc.).
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Ability to analyze complex technical requirements and break them down into actionable user stories.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate technical challenges while balancing business needs.
Communication:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and time zones.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
