Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Associate!


Manufacturing Associate Quality Assurance performs a wide range of quality inspection tasks in a manufacturing environment. Manufacturing Associate Quality Assurance II receives priorities from schedule, area lead, or manager, and works independently to complete. Understanding ISO and customer requirements, company policies and procedures, creating inspection plans and track performance. Must be computer literate and strong on documentation.

Responsibilities of the Quality Associate:

  • Manufacturing Associate Quality Assurance II supports the Quality Management System by performing inspection processes which determine acceptance of products or components, visually and or with the use of inspection tools (i.e.. Microscopes, X-ray, AOI)
  • Manufacturing Associate Quality Assurance II is required to research component part numbers and check or inspect inventory
  • Assists, develops, or modifies, QA procedures related to department processes, or product quality
  • Daily activities may also include PCB stuffing, soldering of wires, soldering thru-hole and SMT components, masking, mechanical assembly, go no-go testing, component set up, machine set up, programming and operation, training, and in line inspection of work performed
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Adheres to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications of the Quality Associate:

  • Must be a team player and detailed oriented
  • Must be willing to learn new skills, have mature work habits, and good communication, including reading and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of PCB assemblies, soldering, and blueprint reading is a must. Must be able to read and understand customer and company documentation.
  • This position requires excellent reasoning skills, soldering knowledge, and ability to use inspection and measuring instruments such as microscopes, digital calipers, pin gauges, and ruler
  • Prior experience in a printed circuit board or electronic manufacturing is required
