Wieland is hiring a Manufacturing Assistant. The Manufacturing Assistant will be responsible for maintaining product quality and ensuring the safety and efficiency of the work environment and assist with overall warehouse functions as needed. This role is located in Kent, WA and will be fully on-site.
Hourly Pay Range:$22 to $24 per hour
Work Schedule: 1st shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Pay Schedule: Weekly

Responsibilities
Manufacturing Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe and organized working environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Safely operate machinery to produce quality products in a timely manner.
  • Inspect materials before and after operation to identify any imperfections or issues.
  • Load and unload products for processing, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
  • Assist with reviewing and verifying incoming shipping documents and inventory.
  • Review outgoing shipping documents and ensure product accuracy.
  • Inspect inventory and product orders for discrepancies and report any issues to management.
  • Collaborate with teammates and communicate effectively to maintain operational flow.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to relocate material as needed.
  • Perform other operational tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Manufacturing Assistant Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience operating machinery, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience with saws, slitting, or cut-to-length (CTL) machinery would be highly desirable, but not required.
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment, including tasks such as inventory management, loading/unloading materials, and shipping/receiving product.
  • Experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials around a warehouse or manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring product quality.
  • Excellent communication skills, both with team members and management.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work extended or varied hours based on operational needs.
  • Willingness to support teammates and assist in warehouse functions when necessary.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to twist and bend for up to 4 hours.
  • Comfortable operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure.
