Job description

Overview
Provides tooling, equipment, process design, and ability to produce reviews, Lean leadership and other technical support for manufacturing processes in the Tupelo facility.
Responsibilities
  • Identify and implement Manufacturing process improvements and upgrades where appropriate. May develop Capital Expense Requests and Proposals for submittal.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to manufacturing to meet customer deliveries.
  • Identify and implement Waste Reduction solutions as part of Continuous Improvement program.
  • Participate on and implement preventive actions recommended by the Hazard Elimination Team.
  • Lead selected Kaizen events to reduce waste and improve process flow.
  • Conduct production/manufacturing reviews to ensure product designs are producible and cost effective.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical) required.
  • Five or more years of experience providing technical support in a metal fabrication environment.
  • Training and certification as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills. Capable of leading focused Kaizen teams in Continuous improvement projects.
  • Proficient with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD and MS Office applications.
