Axon 911 brings together Prepared and Carbyne under Axon. Together, we are creating the only platform that combines modern 911 infrastructure with an AI intelligence layer-helping public safety agencies move faster, make better decisions, and deliver better outcomes in the moments that matter most.

911 is the backbone of public safety, yet the professionals behind it have long been held back by outdated technology. Axon 911 is here to change that. Joining this team means more than taking a job-it means helping shape the future of emergency response and building a safer, more connected world.

Your Impact

The Director of Public Safety at Axon 911 will be a strategic leader, advisor, and collaborator, responsible for driving initiatives that align Axon 911's solutions with the evolving needs of the public safety community. Product Strategy, AI Initiatives & Market Feedback Gather customer feedback to influence product enhancements, prioritize AI-related initiatives, coordinate early-access programs, and ensure solutions meet operational needs within public safety organizations.

Sales Enablement, Advocacy & Industry Presence Support market expansion and deal strategy through industry expertise, customer relationships, speaking engagements, workshops, webinars, thought leadership, and strategic go-to-market initiatives.

Operational Excellence & Business Impact Optimize workflows and processes while driving measurable outcomes tied to customer satisfaction, retention, product adoption, strategic partnerships, lead generation, industry engagement, and cross-functional business improvements.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership and managerial experience within public safety, emergency communications, or PSAP operations, including experience serving at the Deputy Director level or above (or equivalent senior leadership role).
  • Deep expertise across PSAP operations, NG911, CAD, emergency communications workflows, and evolving public safety technology trends.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with PSAP leaders, industry associations (NENA/APCO), executive stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong strategic leadership experience driving scalable programs, operational improvements, and cross-functional initiatives in complex environments.
  • Ability to translate customer feedback, operational challenges, and market insights into actionable product, business, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills, including executive presentations, workshops, industry events, and consultative sales support.
