Job description

Job Summary The Instructor & Program Manager of Cybersecurity and CIT will maintain a dual-role position as: A) an instructional faculty member and B) Program Manager responsibilities overseeing the AS in Cybersecurity, AS in Computer Information Technology, and other related academic programs as assigned. Observes college rules/regulations and state guidelines appropriate to the position and demonstrates the college's core values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating, and Celebrating. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Work at least 35 hours per week, fall and spring semesters, consisting of 9-12 instructional hours (as assigned by supervisor) with the balance being devoted to student support, college and community service, and program manager duties.

Base compensation covers additional hours beyond 35 per week that may be needed to fulfill program manager duties (e.g., recruitment events, facilitating program advisory meetings). Summer work hours will be no less than 65 hours total to perform program manager duties. Plan and carry out instructional duties that maximize student learning

Develop and revise program curriculum, as needed, to the greatest extent possible within their area of expertise. Engage in program student recruitment and retention efforts. Coordinate practicum/internship on- and off-site student experiences.

Ensure fiscal responsibility in the development and management of the schedule of classes and resource management in assigned budgets; monitor spending and approve expenditures according to established policies and procedures. Collaborate with College partners in support of initiatives, such as articulation agreements. Collaborate and plan with others across the College to support student enrollment and retention.

Track and analyze student performance, enrollments, and learning outcomes to make informed decisions regarding the status of academic programs and resource management (e.g., personnel and classroom resources) Work collaboratively with other faculty to ensure academic quality while focusing on student retention and completion. Collaborate on faculty and staff development initiatives. Assist in the marketing of each program and the program course offerings

Collaborate with other college departments regarding the development of related programs. Serve on College committees as assigned. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Experience in online course development and delivery is preferred. Work experience in the subject matter area is required. Ability to demonstrate proficiency in working with various virtual meeting platforms.

Expertise in cybersecurity. ABILITIES/GENERAL: Promote a common purpose consistent with the College's stated goals and demonstrate a commitment to students and the learning environment. Possess knowledge of general written standards and procedures utilized, and have the ability to read, interpret, and follow procedural and policy manuals related to the job tasks.

Demonstrate the ability to respond to supervision, guidance, and direction in a positive, receptive manner and follow stated policies. Deliver exceptional customer service by fostering a welcoming and supportive environment. Present a professional image in words, actions, and attire.

Includes the ability to build &/or support a constructive team spirit where members are committed to the goals and objectives of the organization. Plan, organize, and successfully multitask to meet multiple deadlines and frequently new work tasks within required timeframes.

Proven flexibility to successfully work on a variety of projects quickly and accurately. Effectively manage change and adaptability. Adheres to all workplace safety rules, safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices Ability to work various hours, including nights, early mornings, and weekends Ability to travel amongst various campuses and attend College events, on or off campus, as required.

Minimum Qualifications & Education Required: Master's degree in Cybersecurity or a Master's with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline. At least five (5) years of full-time, relevant professional experience related to the institution's Cybersecurity program, demonstrating current industry knowledge and practices. At least two (2) years of progressive administrative or leadership experience in an academic, corporate, or nonprofit setting, including responsibilities such as program development, faculty supervision, budget oversight, strategic planning, or accreditation.

At least two (2) years of successful, documented college-level teaching experience, preferably in CTE or workforce development. Preferred: Experience with Florida College System policies and accrediting agency standards.
