Associate Product Manager

Position Overview:

RBC Bearings Incorporated is seeking an Associate Product Manager to support the continued growth of its AeroStructures Division. Reporting to the Business Development Director for Growth, this role is responsible for executing key business processes that drive long-term growth initiatives across RBC’s aerospace product lines.

The Associate Product Manager will play a critical role in new product development, market expansion, customer growth strategies, and acquisition evaluations. This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills who can effectively collaborate across engineering, sales, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support strategic initiatives across RBC Aerospace product lines to achieve year-over-year sales and profitability growth
  • Assist in the development, communication, and execution of division growth strategies
  • Contribute to the creation and ongoing management of a 5-year growth plan
  • Coordinate and manage project review processes tied to growth initiatives, including tracking progress, documenting activity, and defining next steps
  • Participate in the development and launch of new products, product line extensions, and market differentiation strategies
  • Manage elements of the new product introduction (NPI) process aligned with growth objectives
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams including sales, engineering, and manufacturing
  • Maintain and report key metrics associated with long-term growth plans, including project status updates and opportunity tracking
  • Evaluate and optimize the customer base through strategic expansion or rationalization
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support long-term business development
  • Assist in prioritizing projects to align with revenue and margin goals
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related technical field required
  • Prior experience in technical sales, product management, or engineering preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; experience with bearings or aerospace components is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, including experience with pricing strategies and market segmentation
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AS400 and/or ASI systems is a plus
  • Proven ability to operate in a results-driven environment with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and project management skills
