Position Overview
The Technology Architect - Product Development is responsible for defining and driving the technical architecture, design standards, and technology roadmap for enterprise products and platforms. This role works closely with Product Management, Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and Business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative solutions that support business growth and customer needs. The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in software architecture, cloud technologies, system integration, and product development methodologies, along with the ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. This strategic leadership role will define and drive the product vision, strategy, and execution for a next-generation, component-based healthcare operations platform that modernizes payer and provider CPO workflows.
In the Technology Architect - Product Development role, you will be responsible for:
Architecture Strategy & Leadership
  • Define and maintain the product technology architecture roadmap.
  • Establish architecture principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Align technology decisions with product strategy and business objectives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
  • Lead architecture governance and design review boards.
Product Development
  • Design scalable, secure, and high-performance product architectures.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Guide engineering teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Ensure product designs support future scalability and maintainability.
  • Drive modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
Cloud & Platform Architecture
  • Design cloud-native solutions utilizing AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Define microservices, APIs, containerization, and platform strategies.
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
Security & Compliance
  • Integrate security-by-design principles into product architecture.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with Information Security teams on risk assessments and controls.
  • Support secure coding and DevSecOps initiatives.
Technical Leadership
  • Mentor architects, developers, and engineering teams.
  • Provide technical guidance and architectural oversight.
  • Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and technology evaluations.
  • Resolve complex technical challenges and architectural issues.
Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Customer Success teams.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for implementation-related issues.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and business stakeholders.
Customer & Business Enablement
  • Participate / drive technology and architecture discussions with customer's technology teams
  • Recommend best practices for product and technology implementation/integration
  • Support post-implementation reviews and optimization efforts.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Mentor and lead a team of Technology Analysts, Data and technical development associates
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Data Science, Clinical SMEs, and Implementation teams to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
  • Support pre-sales through technology solutioning, architecture and integration discussions and RFP responses.
  • Conduct client-facing presentations, discovery sessions, and fit-gap assessments.
  • Provide product guidance during onboarding, configuration, and delivery for new clients.
Market & Domain Expertise (Desired Expertise)
  • Maintain deep understanding of:
    • Payer/provider business processes (A&G, PA, UM, HEDIS, Claims, Inpatient/Outpatient coding workflows)
    • Industry standards (HL7, FHIR, X12/EDI, CCD/CCDA)
    • Document-based transactions and automation opportunities
    • Regulatory and compliance requirements across payer and provider touchpoints
  • Monitor competitor landscape, vendor ecosystem, and AI/automation innovations

Qualification Requirements
  • Graduate or Master's Degree with 12+ years in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience building componentized platforms, workflow engines, API ecosystems, or data/AI-powered products.
  • Strong knowledge of payer and provider processes (A&G, PA, UM, HEDIS, Inpatient/Outpatient coding) and/or document-driven workflows.
  • Enterprise Architecture
