Job Summary
Providing technical support and management of product development and manufacturing processes in order to achieve customers' expectations on the products as well as to identify strategies to modify or improve current products and processes. Evaluation and development of raw material performance and quality to improve the value of the product
Job Description
  • The management of product development involving, but not limited to product quality, process optimization, product management, chemical & mechanical laboratory tests, reduction of cost via consolidation and modification
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • - Process evaluation & management for product development
  • - Devise and manage product development procedures
  • - Management & evaluation of raw material performance on the products
  • - Perform chemical & mechanical laboratory scale testing
  • - Optimize manufacturing process and product quality
  • - Identify ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems)
  • - Analyze and update the recycled material usage data and the changes made to the manufacturing process, material chain of custody procedures, and BOMs for the annual renewal and environmental priority certifications; NSF, SCS, and Greenguard
  • - Communicate and exchange information with other departments to reach customers' expectations on the products; work as 1st point of contact for technical inquiry
  • - Exchange knowledge and information with suppliers and other Company facilities to ensure best practices; raw materials and additives
  • - Assist the production engineer to troubleshoot production issues and analyze production conditions
  • - Support and perform Production Scheduler duties when necessary
  • - Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Education and Work Experience:
  • - 0 or more years' experience in manufacturing environment
  • - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.
