Product Development Representative Trench Solutions - Texas First Rentals

Description
As a Product Development Representative (PDR), you will act as a single point of contact for Trench Safety products and services for strategic, key, district, regional, and territory accounts within the specified product and/or geography. You will be a technical resource for Trench Safety providing training and project support to customers for new and existing product lines, while educating other Company business units on Trench Safety products and applications. As a PDR, you will drive incremental profitable revenue for the Trench Division of Texas First Rentals (TFR) and other businesses within the company through lead sharing and trade area cooperation. As a PDR, you will be required to grow and maintain core trench business with end users and reps as previously mentioned by maintaining and building strategic relationships.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.
Essential Functions
• Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
• Provides Legendary Customer Service to our corporate target customers and larger potential customer base
• Collaborates with leadership to identify Enterprise opportunities for revenue gain within customer base and executes said targets
• Serves as the company "expert" on each assigned product category and serves as a liaison to all Strategic, Key, District, Regional, and Territory Sales Teams
• Collaborates with leadership/supervisor to perform a quarterly business review of portfolio with the product categories
• Develops and executes business plans using the SMART Goal with each assigned target
• Accompany sales representatives, as subject matter expert, on more technically complex sales calls and assist sales representatives in selecting the proper equipment to provide the customer with the most effective solution
• In partnership with Management and Sales Reps, manage rate structure for larger projects to maximize return on investment
• Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Expert technical aptitude and understanding of Trench Safety Rental Solutions and products
• Expert knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Interpersonal skills sufficient to engage with vendors, own staff, and corporate executives to exchange information, influence and persuade
• Exceptional skills required in solid problem solving, planning, organization, time management and analysis
• Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office skills to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Exceptional customer service and relationship building skills; customer retention
• Excellent formal presentation skills before both small and large groups
• Driven and results oriented; business development, KPIs, and market expansion to meet corporate targets
• Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization and customer operations
• Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accurately
• Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Requirements
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• Minimum of four years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required. Five to six years of experience preferred

• Extensive driving required; overnight travel required
• Valid driver's license required
Physical Requirements:
• This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
• This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
• Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
• Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
• Ascend/descend with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climb up and down ladder
• Be able to safely maneuver and work underneath equipment
• Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
• Safety training required; PPE required outside of office/parking lot area
Work Environment:
• This job is generally performed in a professional office environment, Jobsite, or industrial locations
• Regularly works outdoors and may be exposed to weather extremes conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
• Noise level may be loud at times
• Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, steam, high-pressure water, and high speed rotating equipment
• On occasion time spent in confined spaces and high places
• Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
