Job description

Responsibilities
TikTok's Content Ecosystem team is responsible for the health and prosperity of content users and creators to improve DAU in the long term. Our team deeply dives into the following fields: tracking the whole content ecosystem and finding potential challenges and opportunities; cooperating closely with the RD team on model recognition, content understanding, and algorithms, targeting to balance the traffic in different formats, optimize traffic distribution, content diversifications, creator experience of moderation, user experience of interactions, and more problems. As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis - we encourage you to apply early. Successful candidates must be able to commit to work on-site 5 days per week and at least 6 months long internship period, with immediate availability preferred Responsibilities: - Plan, initiate, and manage information technology projects for mobile and web-based products and platforms. - Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative tools, platforms, and/or products. - Drive product development with teams of world-class engineers and designers, while maintaining team health. - Work closely with various teams to drive product vision, define product requirements, coordinate resources from other groups (design, legal, etc.), and guide the team through key milestones. - Integrate usability studies, research, and market analysis into product requirements to improve engineer productivity and enhance user satisfaction. - Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products. Identify and track key performance metrics. - Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Currently pursuing an undergraduate/master degree in computer science, data science, product management, or other related discipline. - Proficiency in English, and fluency in written and spoken Mandarin is needed to manage stakeholders in China market. - Foundational understanding of product management or product design, demonstrated through coursework, projects, or internships. - Experience analyzing data sets as part of academic projects, coursework, or internships, with the ability to draw insights and make data-informed recommendations. - Experience gathering and translating requirements through academic group projects or internships, with the ability to contribute to the development of product solutions. - Basic technical proficiency with analytical tools, methodologies, and design principles, gained through coursework, projects, or relevant experience. - Strong communication skills demonstrated through presentations, group projects, or internships. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience identifying significant opportunities, and driving product vision, strategies and roadmaps in the context of broader organizational strategies and goals. - Experience going through a full product life-cycle, integrating customer feedback into product requirements, driving prioritization and pre/post-launch execution. - Proven to be enthusiastic and resilient in a constantly evolving environment in which the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.

[For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Hourly) - Campus Intern
The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $35- $35.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
