Job description

Job Duties:

  • Greet all customers in a friendly manner.
  • Assist customers with produce purchases.
  • Thank customers for their patronage.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Sweep and pick up debris within store.
  • Stock produce as needed.
  • Rotate merchandise by newer merchandise behind older merchandise. 
  • Place produce in refrigerator units as needed.
  • Maintain Sweep Sheet every half hour.
  • Inspect product when placing items on shelves.
  • Maintain a clean refrigerator section.
  • Place bad produce in trash bins.
  • Assist and participate with Company marketing promotional events and programs as needed
  • And all other assigned job duties.
  • Excellent and respectful customer service at all times.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Lift boxes and product ranging between 20 lbs up to 60 lbs
  • Place boxes/product onto dolly or cart
  • Push/pull between 30 lbs up to 200 lbs (item on cart or dolly)
  •  Bend/Stoop pick up and or place product below waist level (including shelves and racks )
  • Place product onto bins and position for sale
  • Grasp/Grip product to prepare for sale floor by either cutting or cleaning product
  • Constant sweeping/pushing broom to pick up debris to keep work area clean
  • Place and remove product from produce cooler (including shelving and produce bins)
  • Reaching above shoulder level (produce placement on sale floor plus shelving/rack system in produce warehouse areas)
  • Place debris/trash/recycle cardboard in respective areas
  • Will clean and maintain produce tables and bins
  • Climb ladders to retrieve or place product on top shelf/produce cooler

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift boxes and product ranging between 20 lbs up to 60 lbs
  • Place boxes/product onto dolly or cart
  • Push/pull between 30 lbs up to 200 lbs (items on cart/dolly)
