City Produce started in 1958 as a retail produce store in Fort Walton Beach, FL, specializing in premium fresh fruit, vegetables, specialty foods, and dairy. City Produce is supported by an amazing team of sales, customer service, procurement, and operations professionals.

At City Produce, our priority has always been to provide the highest quality products, delivered safely and on time. We provide our customers with web order entry, continuous cold chain management and peace of mind when it comes to food safety. We work every day to drive consistency in the areas most important to our customers: Customer Service, Quality, Food, Safety, Reporting, Technology.

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver Products to customers on assigned routes in a safe and timely manner
  • Load and unload products from the vehicle following proper handling procedures
  • Use pallet jack to move products as necessary
  • Verify orders for accuracy before departure and upon delivery
  • Conduct Pre/post trip inspection and all responsibilities outlined by the FMCSA and DOT regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service by being professional, courteous, and responsive
  • Operate vehicle safely within company guidelines minimizing accidents, traffic violations and complaints from the public

Qualifications:

  • At least 1-year successful experience driving a box truck or higher as required
  • Possess a valid Class E License
  • Carrier Safety Administration knowledge
  • DOT physical examination and Pre-Employment Drug Test
  • Speak and write English satisfactorily
  • No more than 2 preventable accidents in the past 3 years
  • No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years and proven safe PSP score
  • Organized and attention-to-detail approach
  • Safety-oriented mindset with a commitment to following all safety procedures

Compensation:

  • $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday – Sunday (Off one day during the week. Must work one weekend day)
  • 4:00am – 5:00am start time - finished

Physical Demands:

  • Stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Lift boxes up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Work in cold or wet cooler conditions for extended periods of time
