We are seeking a detaildriven and operationally minded Storeroom Clerk to oversee daily receiving and storeroom activities while ensuring strict adherence to established procedures. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory controls, proper storage and stock rotation, and secure handling of materials and accounting records. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills and a commitment to operational excellence that supports Loews Hotels' standards.

Who You Are:

  • Inventory and Product Knowledgeable - You possess a thorough understanding of meat, produce, and grocery specifications, including standard grading classifications.

  • OperationsFocused - You understand storeroom equipment, inventory procedures, and proper storage and sanitation practices.

  • Physically Capable - You are able to stand, stoop, bend repeatedly, lift up to 50 pounds, and push carts weighing up to 200 pounds.

  • Technically Comfortable - You have working knowledge of inventory control systems and computer software including Word and Excel.

  • Flexible and Communicative - You communicate effectively, stay organized, and are able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

What You'll Do:

Storeroom & Receiving Operations

  • Complete receiving and storeroom activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures and secure handling of all materials.

  • Ensure proper receipt, date tagging, storage, rotation, and issuance of all materials and supplies to prevent waste or deterioration.

  • Monitor inventory par levels and notify department managers when reorder points are reached.

  • Follow established requisition procedures and ensure accurate quantities for all items issued.

Compliance, Quality & Vendor Coordination

  • Ensure adherence to all Loews Hotels policies, guidelines, and procedures related to storeroom, receiving, sanitation, and security.

  • Notify Storeroom/Purchasing leadership of receiving discrepancies to facilitate credits or replacement of damaged or incorrect goods.

  • Ensure accurate transmittal of beverage receiving documentation and prepare interproperty transfers of bottled water as required.

Shipping, Data & Records Management

  • Coordinate receipt, storage, tracking, and delivery of packages via common carriers.

  • Prepare shipping documents and coordinate carrier pickups with Procurement.

  • Organize, store, and monitor accounting data, including boxing, filing, destruction schedules, and offsite file retrieval.

  • Coordinate with Accounting to maintain records of stored data, storage locations, and file movement logs.

Operational Support

  • Maintain storeroom cleanliness and ensure safe, organized storage environments.

  • Attend required departmental and hotel meetings to stay current on operational updates.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of storeroom, receiving, and accounting operations.

Other Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance.

  • Attend/complete all mandatory training sessions and meetings.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Experience Includes:

  • 1+ years of prior experience in hotel receiving and/or warehousing operations.

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience managing receiving, inventory control, and storeroom operations.

  • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
