Job description

Pound4Pound Fitness Equipment is a reseller of commercial gym equipment. Established in 2012 and we house over 70,000 sf of pre-owned, commercial fitness equipment acquired from health clubs around the country. Our primary position in the market is wholesale (buy and sell in bulk) to other resellers overseas.


This is a newly created position that will be responsible for developing relationships with decision makers at healthclubs around the country starting in IL and working outward into the Midwest and beyond. Cold calling multi location facilities, single location facilities, personal training studios, police/fire, college/university, park districts, apartment/condo - introducing the company, learning about their facility, current equipment, any immediate need to add or replace equipment, and also informing them of our equipment buy-back program. This is a relationship-based sales process. We are looking for someone that can build rapport and trust with prospects and clients and have a high level of activity to push this channel of revenue. This role will be responsible for commercial sales / retail-based sales to commercial facilities. It will not be involved with wholesale sales.


This position will report directly to the Owner of the company. Daily job responsibilities will include:

- Prospecting for new facilities to call (We will provide a database, but we also want a go-getter that can find new opportunities)

- Calling on, finding and building rapport with decision makers.

- Updating CRM database.

- Creating invoices and PO's in Quickbooks.

- If you have experience in social media advertising, creating ads on eBay, Amazon or Marketplace we can look at having this person manage those outlets as a secondary channel.


We are looking for a relationship-building Producer that works well on their own, is self motivated, asks questions when they need to, and when the time comes can help build a sales team. Once this position / person builds a working book of business, understands the business and shows they can lead and build we are looking to grow the team and hire someone as a Sales Assistant and/or Inside Sales Associate to report to them (while still producing).
