Produce Associate:

Does your passion include all things green & delicious? And how about those heirloom tomatoes…do they make you “green with hunger”? Does the beginning of strawberry or apple season make you giddy with delight? If these questions resonate with you, then this might be the opportunity you have been looking for! We are currently seeking team members to assist in our robust Produce Department.   



Produce Associate is responsible for all produce stocking responsibilities including; 

  • Greets every guest and provides guests with exemplary hospitality through availability on the sales floor; and doing necessary research to assist the guest
  • Stocks all produce items on the produce floor and ensures that product is beautifully displayed
  • Culls and rotates produce to ensure that only the highest quality is on the produce floor
  • Preps and bags produce for sale
  • Returns all damaged or poor quality product to Receiving for credit and writes clear credit notes for receiver when crediting product
  • Disposes of culled product appropriately and brainstorms other ways in which products can be sold (i.e. used for cut fruit or the cafe).
  • Ensures that all produce has proper representation (signage) on shelf, that shelf tags and signage are accurate, and communicates needs to the department manager
  • Able to adjust displays to ensure they are well maintained and stocked by highlighting and spreading faster selling items when products are out of stock
  • Maintains knowledge of Produce department products, standards, procedures and protocols

Location: 222 Dorset St. South Burlington

Hours Available: Open shifts, Mid-shifts, and Closing shifts

Pay Rate: This position has a minimum and maximum range of $15.50 - $16.29 per hour, previous experience will be considered.
