About Us
A proud member of the Quanta Services family of companies, Ampacity, LLC (Ampacity) delivers a forward-thinking approach to structural and electrical solutions for clean energy transition projects. From design, kitting, and installation to comprehensive electrical procurement, Ampacity specializes in expert-engineered, field-ready solutions that accelerate project timelines and maximize impact. Made up of more than 350 passionate professionals committed to simplifying complexity across the energy value chain, Ampacity empowers customers to build smarter, faster, and more efficiently-with the most reliable technology in the industry. Headquartered in California, Ampacity maintains facilities in Mississippi, Kentucky, and Iowa, with offices in Florida, Georgia, and Vermont. Since 2014, Ampacity has delivered nearly eight gigawatts of fully engineered clean energy systems across North America.
About this Role
Join our team as a Sales Manager and drive meaningful growth across Ampacity's structural and electrical solutions for clean energy projects. In this role, you'll own a portfolio of accounts and a defined territory or market segment-identifying opportunities, building trusted relationships with developers, EPCs, and asset owners, and closing deals that turn into delivered projects. You'll act as a strategic partner to your customers, translating their project needs into Ampacity solutions and coordinating closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain to deliver on every commitment. If you're passionate about building pipeline, hitting targets, and solving real problems in the field, we want to hear from you.
The role is 100% remote.
Pay Range: $95,000 - $105,000
What You'll Do
  • Own and grow a book of business-prospecting, qualifying, and closing new opportunities while expanding revenue within existing accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and nurture long-term, trust-based relationships with developers, EPCs, and asset owners, serving as their primary point of contact throughout the sales cycle.
  • Understand each customer's project requirements and translate them into tailored Ampacity solutions across design, kitting, installation, and electrical procurement.
  • Manage the full sales cycle-from lead generation and technical scoping to proposal, negotiation, and close-while maintaining an accurate pipeline and forecast.
  • Partner with engineering, estimating, operations, and supply chain to ensure quotes are accurate and complete, commitments are realistic, and customer deliverables are met on time.
  • Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities to grow existing accounts and contribute to overall revenue growth.
  • Represent Ampacity at industry tradeshows, customer site visits, and business development meetings.
  • Create and manage opportunities, estimates, and account activity in NetSuite, and provide regular pipeline reporting.

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development.
  • Solar, renewable energy, electrical, or construction industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain strong client relationships and manage a multi-account pipeline.
  • Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to understand and clearly communicate engineered solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM/ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

What You'll Get
  • Competitive pay and 401k - because your work should be rewarded fairly
  • Time off you'll actually use: vacation, sick days, holidays, parental, and bereavement leave
  • Full medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus extra support when you need it
  • Wellness resources to help you show up as your best self, at work and at home
  • Real room to grow - we promote from within and invest in your development
