Job description

Ultimate USA, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, is part of a highly successful international group of companies with additional locations in Austria, Romania, Poland, Turkey, China and Australia.

We specialize in the development, sales and service of gangways, automatic door systems and interior fittings for rail vehicles and buses.

As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our presence in the United States. Our Charlotte location is a new and developing site, currently being built up by a highly motivated and dynamic team, offering a unique opportunity to actively shape the future of our business in the region.

Your Responsibility:
  • Independently manage the procurement of materials and components for customer projects
  • Manage and monitor all project-related procurement and logistics activities, including the coordination of domestic and international transportation
  • Coordinate closely with Project Management, Quality Management, Production,Production Planning, logistics service providers and suppliers
  • Maintain and structure project-specific bills of materials (BOMs) and assemblies within the ERP-system
  • Identify, evaluat, and qualify new suppliers, including price negotiations and supplier contract negotiations
Your Profile:
  • Completed commercial or technical education, ideally with a focus on Procurement, Logistics or Supply Chain Management
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in technical procurement, logistics or supply chain management, preferably in mechanical engineering, plant engineering or railway vehicle manufacturing
  • Experience managing international supply chains and working with freight forwarders and transportation service providers
  • Strong negotiation skills and a confident, professional manner when dealing with suppliers and service providers
  • Structured, independent and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Business Central) and MS Office
  • Business-fluent English skills
  • Willingness to travel
