Job description

Weโ€™re looking for a Bilingual Procurement Manager to join an established apparel/fabric manufacturing company with extensive background.

This is an important, hands-on role for someone who understands that successful procurement is about more than placing orders. Itโ€™s about keeping production moving, maintaining accurate inventory, supporting customers, controlling costs, and making sure the right materials are available when theyโ€™re needed.


Responsibilities:

Youโ€™ll take ownership of the day-to-day procurement and raw material inventory process, including:

  • Purchasing raw materials against confirmed Purchase Orders
  • Maintaining appropriate raw material stock levels
  • Preparing daily inventory reports
  • Managing daily Plastics Perpetual Inventory
  • Managing Perpetual Inventory reporting for various customers
  • Maintaining daily Globe Materials Inventory reporting
  • Sourcing materials for new samples and projects
  • Preparing material cost estimates for samples
  • Entering material orders and inventory information into Fishbowl
  • Scanning and organizing packing lists in Dropbox
  • Sending packing lists and COCs to Accounting for payment
  • Coordinating sample and special-request shipments
  • Working closely with Shipping to support approximately 5โ€“6 customers each day
  • Providing inventory/on-hand reports when requested
  • Conducting and reporting month-end physical inventory counts
  • Reconciling inventory results with the Assistant Plant Manager
  • Handling additional procurement and operational requests from Management


Requirements:

  • 3โ€“5+ years of procurement experience
  • Strong experience with fabric, textile, apparel, or sewn-product procurement
  • Bilingual Spanish required
  • Manufacturing/production experience
  • Strong inventory management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with inventory systems โ€” Fishbowl is a plus
  • Expertise with Cutting and sewing operations, automated laying and cutting equipment and/or Clicker die-cutting machinery is a plus
