About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Inventory Control Analyst to support inventory governance, financial reporting, operational performance, and continuous process improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for monitoring inventory accuracy, performing financial and operational analyses, maintaining internal controls, and driving improvements across inventory-related processes.
The Inventory Control Analyst will partner closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer Operations, and Finance to provide actionable insights, improve inventory visibility, and ensure inventory transactions are accurate, compliant, and efficiently managed.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with large data sets, investigating root causes, improving processes, and translating data into meaningful business decisions.
What You'll Do
  • Collect, organize, and analyze inventory data from multiple systems to develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Prepare inventory account analyses and reconciliations to support monthly and year-end financial close processes.
  • Support Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory reporting, settlement analysis, carrying cost validation and inventory-aging analysis.
  • Monitor inventory adjustments and perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies, root causes, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain and improve inventory aging methodologies and support aging inventory reduction initiatives.
  • Manage and analyze RMA (Return Material Authorization) and RTV (Return to Vendor) activities and backlog reporting.
  • Review inventory transfers and investigate inventory movement discrepancies.
  • Support inventory governance and control processes through quarterly ABC classification reviews, inventory policy assessments, inventory logic optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in quarterly physical inventory audits and inventory reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly production activity reports and operational performance analyses.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in inventory control, inventory analysis, financial analysis, Manufacturing finance, manufacturing operations, or a related analytical role is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, advanced formulas, and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience with SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing, electronics, supply chain, or contract manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, or automation tools.
  • Experience supporting inventory audits, internal controls, or compliance initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools.
  • Knowledge of inventory accounting and financial reporting principles.

The typical base salary for this position is expected to be between $52,500 and $70,000 annually. If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
