What is a procurement internship?

Procurement internships are short-term positions, typically offered to students or recent graduates, that provide hands-on experience in the procurement or purchasing departments of organizations. Interns assist with tasks such as sourcing suppliers, managing purchase orders, conducting market research, and supporting negotiations. These internships are designed to give participants practical exposure to supply chain processes and procurement best practices, preparing them for future roles in purchasing or supply management.
