About the position

Gulfstream engineering interns in Innovation, Engineering and Flight are an integral part of the engineering staff, contributing to projects that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. 

We are looking for all levels of educational experience -from undergraduates to master's and PhD students-who are seeking professional experience in a state-of-the-art engineering environment. If you are looking to gain professional experience and are passionate about aviation and engineering, you will be intrigued by the opportunities we give interns across almost 40 different departments that support Innovation, Engineering, and Flight.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to engineering staff and contribute by completing discrete engineering tasks on schedule. 
  • Using company procedures, apply engineering knowledge to resolve aircraft related issues. 
  • Support component and full-scale aircraft prototype and test activities during the lifecycle of Gulfstream products. 
  • Generate and analyze miscellaneous technical test data. 
  • Interface with various internal organizations such as Production Engineering, Completions Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Product Support and Procurement as well as external suppliers. 
  • Develop knowledge of application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in assigned field of expertise. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Education and Other Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following disciplines: 
    • Aerospace Engineering 
    • Mechanical Engineering 
    • Electrical Engineering 
    • Computer Engineering 
    • Aeronautical Engineering
    • Systems Engineering 
    • Industrial & Systems Engineering 
    • Engineering 
  • Must be available to work on-site in Savannah, GA during the Spring 2027 semester, beginning in January 2027.
