Senior Project Manager

Blane Casey Contractors is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our family-oriented team!

At Blane Casey Contractors, we manage projects of all sizes and complexity across educational, industrial, commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, and specialty markets throughout Maine and beyond. We are seeking a driven construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can successfully lead projects, teams, and client relationships from preconstruction through closeout.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical construction knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while driving projects to successful completion. This individual will play a key leadership role within the company and help mentor and develop team members.

Responsibilities
  • Lead construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
  • Review and define project scope, contract requirements, and project execution strategies
  • Develop, manage, and forecast project budgets, costs, cash flow, and profitability
  • Create and maintain detailed construction schedules in Microsoft Project, including subcontractor coordination, sequencing, milestone tracking, and schedule recovery planning
  • Lead project buyout and procurement of subcontractors, materials, and equipment
  • Prepare, negotiate, and administer subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Oversee and coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, requisitions, payment applications, back charges, delay claims, punch lists, and closeout documentation
  • Identify and proactively resolve project challenges related to scope, schedule, budget, constructability, and logistics
  • Conduct regular project meetings with owners, architects, subcontractors, and field staff
  • Monitor project progress, quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to contract documents
  • Support and mentor Assistant Project Managers and other team members
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry partners
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 7+ years of commercial construction project management experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple large-scale or complex commercial construction projects simultaneously
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and project financial management
  • Experience managing project teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Procore strongly preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid Driver's License
