Title: Material Processor
Location-Norcross, Georgia
Job Description Summary
The Materials Processor I is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through accurate and timely handling of materials within the inventory management system. This role involves receiving, storing, issuing, and picking raw materials, sub-assemblies, and component parts to support the assembly of company-manufactured products.
This position promotes a safe and organized work environment while ensuring inventory accuracy and efficient material flow.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and put away raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies into assigned inventory locations
  • Pick and issue materials to support production schedules and kit assemblies
  • Perform inventory transactions, including reclassifications and transfers, within the inventory management system
  • Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy initiatives
  • Maintain housekeeping and organization of all assigned work areas
  • Follow all environmental, health, and safety policies, including proper use of PPE
  • Report safety hazards, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Provide on-the-job training (OJT) and guidance to less experienced team members
  • Participate in required health and safety training programs

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Minimum of 2 year of experience in a materials handling, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment
  • Basic experience using an inventory management system (ERP, WMS, or similar)
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, walking, and material movement throughout the shift
  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions accurately
  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and system navigation
