Job description

We are only considering candidates who are actively processing mortgage loans today within a retail mortgage bank. Please do not apply if you are not currently in a processing role. We’re looking for an experienced and highly organized Loan Processor to join our team at CrossCountry Mortgage. This role is perfect for someone with strong attention to detail, deep mortgage knowledge, and a passion for delivering an exceptional borrower experience. You’ll be at the center of the loan process, driving files forward, coordinating with multiple parties, and ensuring smooth closings. Responsibilities: • Own loan files from submission through funding with precision and urgency • Review, request, and process borrower documentation and loan conditions • Ensure all files meet company, agency, and investor guidelines • Communicate proactively with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, escrow and title teams, and real estate agents • Maintain complete and accurate notes in Encompass and CRM systems such as Salesforce • Keep the pipeline organized and moving by following up early and often • Identify potential issues and escalate appropriately to ensure smooth closings Qualifications: • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills • FHA, FHLB, FNMA, or VA loan product knowledge and mortgage lending experience required • Superb analytical skills, time management skills, and attention to detail • A minimum of 4 years of current mortgage loan processing experience, actively processing today • Recent experience in retail mortgage processing • Strong proficiency in Encompass • Excellent understanding of FHA, VA, Conventional, and investor guidelines • Experience managing high-volume purchase pipelines • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel • A solutions-first mindset with the ability to problem-solve and prioritize Compensation: $70,000 - $95,000 yearly
