Job description

Position: Commercial Lines Processor

Reports to: SVP Commercial Lines Operations Manager

Grade: 103

Supervises: None

Pay Range: $20.20 - $26.00 an hour dependent upon qualifications and experience.

The Commercial Lines Processor will compile, verify accuracy and maintain accurate and timely processing of insurance information in Company and in-house computer database(s). Maintaining complete and accurate company files.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Track and organize incoming renewal processing (edocs, hard copies, emails, etc.)
  2. Verify that all processing and renewal verification is handled in a timely fashion.
  3. Review completed & downloaded data for deficiencies or errors.
  4. Resolve deficiencies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to appropriate AM for resolution.
  5. Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
  6. Issue Termination letter for accounts when processing policy cancellation for non-payments
  7. Mail or email renewal policies to clients as appropriate
  8. Assist bookkeeping department, as needed, with agency billing or updates to direct bill items.
  9. Any other duties which are required by management

Secondary Responsibilities

1. Contribute to team effort by handling all renewal processing within the required time frame

Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma.
  2. Understanding of insurance work methods and procedures.
  3. Ability to verbally effectively present information to clients, company and agency staff.
  4. Ability to be self-motivated, provide problem-solving capabilities and prioritize multiple tasks.
  5. Commitment to the company’s culture and established service standards.
  6. Ability to deal with and show discretion in confidential matters.
  7. 25% availability to travel outside of 25-mile radius and report to any office.
  8. Ability to sit, drive, bend, answer the phone, and perform computer input
