Posting Number 01094 Position Title Student Assistant - Clinical Psychology Department Academic Affairs: Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology Position Summary
The Student Assistant - Clinical Psychology will provide administrative support to the Program Director, Director of Clinical Training, and core faculty in the Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) program. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: clerical assistance (copying, scanning, filing, organizing, scheduling, and drafting email correspondence); administrative support (maintaining databases to support practicum activities, collecting and organizing academic and practicum data, maintaining program test library, communicating with internal and external constituencies to assist practicum placements, editing departmental manuals, forms, and brochures); assisting with recruitment, admission, interview and orientation processes; and coordinating departmental events.  
Education/Experience
Currently enrolled Stevenson University student in good standing with the University academically and judicially with Federal work study eligibility.  Current Psychology or Counseling and Human Services major with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above preferred.

  • Commit to an assigned schedule of up to 20 hours per week during the academic semester on the Greenspring campus.
Physical Requirements
Medium work: exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Requires physical abilities consistent with a busy college environment on a campus with buildings separated by some distance. Daily work with computers, monitors, copy machines, and other office equipment is required. Keyboarding, standing and/or sitting, walking, talking and hearing. Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminal.
Essential Functions
  • Carry out clerical duties such as copying, scanning, ordering, filing, organizing, scheduling, and drafting correspondence, reports, and other program documents.
  • Assist with maintaining, monitoring and updating the program's practicum database and related records.
  • Assist with checking items in and out of the program's test library and maintaining inventory of test materials.
  • Assist with collecting and organizing academic and practicum data.
  • Assist with communicating with internal and external constituencies via phone, mail, email, and/or face-to-face communication to assist practicum placements and other departmental projects.
  • Assist with setting up, coordinating, and marketing/publicizing departmental events.
  • Assist with maintaining, updating, and distributing departmental manuals, forms, and brochures.
  • Assist with coordination of details for departmental programs or special events, departmental meetings and seminars, etc. 
  • Assist with recruitment, admission, interview and orientation processes.
  • Assist with planning meetings, scheduling appointments, making meeting arrangements, and maintaining documentation of meeting content. 
  • Gather and compile data in order to generate reports as required to support accreditation processes.
