Job description

About The Role & Team

We're looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to support our Head of Marketing at Amplitude. This is a highly visible role that goes beyond traditional executive support-you'll help protect executive time, turn ideas into action, and ensure important work keeps moving across the marketing organization and broader company. The ideal candidate combines exceptional operational strength and judgment with a high-agency mindset and strong AI fluency, using technology to make our leaders and teams more connected, efficient, and effective.

This role is based in our San Francisco headquarters and follows Amplitude's hybrid work model. Regular in-office collaboration is an important part of the role, enabling close partnership with the Head of Marketing and cross-functional teams while maintaining flexibility where appropriate.

As an Executive Assistant, you will:

  • Protect executive time and create leverage: Proactively manage complex calendars, travel, meeting preparation, communications, decisions, and follow-ups, ensuring the Head of Marketing can focus on the highest-impact priorities.
  • Turn ideas into action: Help transform early-stage ideas and rough concepts into clear next steps, briefs, pilots, owners, and timelines. Jumpstart projects by clarifying roles, coordinating stakeholders, establishing tracking, and bringing a first version to life before handing execution off to the appropriate team.
  • Keep priorities moving: Create visibility across key priorities and initiatives, track follow-ups and decisions, surface blockers, and ensure important work doesn't stall or fall through the cracks.
  • Use AI to improve how we work: Run and co-manage AI-powered workflows and systems that improve productivity, team cohesion, communication, and effectiveness. Monitor quality, troubleshoot failures, and continuously improve workflows over time.
  • Support high-impact marketing initiatives: Help coordinate leadership meetings, offsites, QBRs, team experiences, customer initiatives, and external events-including emerging AI-focused marketing events and programs.
  •

You'll be a great addition to the team if:

  • You are highly proactive and bring a high-agency mindset to your work. You don't wait for perfect instructions and are comfortable taking the first step to move something forward.
  • You are operationally strong and process-oriented, while understanding that process should simplify work rather than create unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • You are an AI-fluent practitioner who actively uses AI tools to improve your own productivity and the effectiveness of the teams you support.
  • You are an excellent simplifier who can move seamlessly between small details and ambiguous, cross-functional problems while keeping the bigger picture in view.
  • You build trust quickly and communicate effectively with executives, cross-functional partners, and external stakeholders, while exercising exceptional judgment and discretion.

At a minimum, you need to have:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant supporting VP- or C-level executives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Experience managing complex executive calendars, domestic and international travel, meeting logistics, expenses, and executive communications.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating projects, events, or cross-functional initiatives and driving follow-through across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency with Google Workspace and experience using AI tools or automation to improve workflows, productivity, or decision-making.
  • A track record of handling highly confidential information with professionalism, integrity, sound judgment, and discretion.
  • The ability to work from our San Francisco office as part of our hybrid work model.
Our values:

At Amplitude, our values guide how we show up for one another and for our customers:

  • Flexible time off, paid holidays, and more
  • Generous stipends to spend on what matters most to you, whether that's wellness (monthly), commuter transit/parking (monthly), learning and development (quarterly), new hire home office equipment, and much more
