Job Title: Process Engineer
Department: Engineering 
Location: Charlestown, New Hampshire
The Process Engineer supports the development, control, and continuous improvement of printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing processes, including support of process validation and new equipment implementation. This role focuses on executing data-driven process improvements, maintaining disciplined process control, and partnering with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to improve yield, reliability, and process capability.
This position operates in a fast-paced, technically rigorous manufacturing environment and requires strong fundamentals, curiosity, disciplined execution, and a structured approach to problem solving within a regulated industry.

Job Details
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Support the development, control, and continuous improvement of PCB manufacturing processes to improve quality, yield, throughput, and reliability.
  • Support the installation, setup, and verification of new or modified manufacturing equipment, including participation in acceptance testing and process validation activities.
  • Execute assigned process improvement and validation activities using data, structured problem-solving methods, and established engineering practices.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret process data; prepare clear technical summaries and reports to support engineering decisions.
  • Maintain accurate and controlled process documentation including work instructions, control plans, and specifications.
  • Provide day-to-day process support to manufacturing and quality teams, including participation in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
  • Support risk assessment, compliance, and quality system requirements to ensure processes meet internal standards, industry requirements, and customer specifications.

  • Strong grounding in engineering fundamentals and data-driven problem solving.
  • Analytical mindset with sound mathematical reasoning and strong attention to detail.

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related STEM discipline, or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, quality engineering, or a regulated production environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with statistical or data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, JMP, Minitab).
  • Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE) concepts.
  • Exposure to PCB manufacturing, electronics, or microelectronics processes is a plus.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
This role operates in both office and manufacturing environments. The position involves frequent computer work, documentation, and collaboration, along with regular time on the production floor. Regular standing, walking, and use of standard office and manufacturing equipment are required. 
  • Able to lift up to 44 pounds/20kg.
  • Able to bend, lean, sit and/or stand for entire shift (up to 8 hours).
  • High level of manual dexterity.
  • Ability to operate factory machines and use software to run computer-operated machinery.
  • May be required to use respiratory protection and other personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas or when performing specific tasks, in accordance with company safety programs and policies.
