Summary

We are recruiting a Process Technician II to support safe, efficient operation of production equipment on the debone line. In this role, you'll set up, monitor, and adjust machinery to keep performance on track, while performing routine service to help maintain strong Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). This is a great opportunity for someone with growing technical skills who's ready to take the next step in supporting high-quality, reliable production.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:00pm-5:00am (Saturdays as needed)

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Train Operators, and Process Tech I associates on the proper set-up, and operations of the equipment in Breast Debone. Inspect equipment and related components for proper operation. Prepare equipment for sanitation. (blade removal, arbors, and fasteners put back in place after blade removal.
  • Oversee the blade sharpening program to ensure that sharp blades are ready for production daily. Report any issues to the Production Superintendent.
  • Observe/adjust equipment for proper operation during production and/or report problems to management.
  • Perform Daily and Weekly Preventative Maintenance as needed on but is not limited to Foodmate Max XL, Marel Sensor X, Marel Graders, and Conveyors. Assist in equipment modifications and rebuild to ensure the equipment is running efficiently to meet all departmental goals.
  • Reach out to the OEM for quotes on parts that are needed for assigned equipment. Submit purchaser quest through Maximo (CMMS), and follow-up to ensure parts are ordered in a timely manner to prevent unexpected downtime. Maintain work and production area during production and on weekends as needed and / or as scheduled as well as complete necessary paperwork needed during production.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements including preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions. Give accurate pass down information to your counterparts from the opposite shift (Machine operators, Process Tech II and management) of any issues from your shift.
  • Communicate with production and maintenance superintendent if you will be late or absent at least 2 hours in advance for regular workdays and/ or weekend PM's and must not exceed 5 occurrences as it will result toa demotion.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Read/write English, math, and analytical skills

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 4-6 years' experience

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Exposure to temperatures ranging from 40 - 50 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Noise levels ranging from 85 - 88 dB
  • Exposure to iodine at hand wash station
  • Light intensity above 50' candles
  • Ability to lift 80 lbs
  • Ability to move throughout the department.
