About the Opportunity 

·  Lead special project for the end-to-end design, documentation and implementation of finance processes required to deliver transitory finance activities with external parties

·  Lead and support the financial close process, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely financial results while maintaining a strong control environment and reporting requirements

·  Analyze and present financial information to drive value-add decision-making

·   Provide guidance on new transactions, projects, processes and accounting standards while maintaining strong governance and controls

·  Review, analyze and summarize accounting for contracts, policies and complex transactions

·  Drive transformation of financial close activities through process optimization, centralization, automation, and the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions.

·  Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, data quality, and reporting capabilities, partnering with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.

·  Lead and support strategic projects and organizational transformation initiatives.

About You 

·  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce, or a related field.

·  CPA designation or equivalent finance experience is considered an asset.

·  Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in similar accounting role.

·  Practical experience in project management, process design, and transitory service delivery is an asset.

·  Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

·  Experience with automation, AI, machine learning, or data analytics tools is an asset.

·  Proficiency in process mapping, workflow design, and interaction models

·  Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional deliverables

·  Support a culture of innovation - a personal interest in upskilling in latest digital and technology trends

·  Passion to understand operational business and its linkages to financial processes

·  Highly organized, with the ability to independently plan and execute multiple priorities and demonstrate confidence and composure in times of uncertainty and stress.

·  Ability to partner and build relationships to influence and engage with various cross-functional groups and management levels towards a common vision

·  Ability to take initiative and ownership of issues and tasks by leading resolution

Salary Range 

$100,000 - $110,000 / year
