Job description

Come grow with us, we have many opportunities from entry-level to experienced cooks. Positions intern rate $16.00.
Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.
Essential Functions:
  • Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies and prepares food of consistent quality following recipe cards, production and portion standards per orders from servers.
  • Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to prepare over estimated needs.
  • Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
  • Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes/standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
  • Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
  • Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
  • Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line set up. Note any out of stock items or possible shortages. Assist in keeping buffet stocked.
  • Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas, being sure to cover and date all perishables.
  • Date all food containers and rotate as per the SOP, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
  • Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss, and usage per SOP.
  • Performs any other duties required or requested by Supervisor.

Non-Essential Functions:
  • Assist in prep work of vegetables and condiments as required for the next shift.
