Job description

SUMMARY:
Responsible for all shall assist in monitoring all the Information Technology (IT) processes and application systems utilizing the Help Desk software and is assigned to document any outages/problems and ensure the proper handling of identified computer problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Adhere to, standard operating procedures (SOP's) and policies and procedures.
  • Inspect, inventory and mark for identification all new personal computer equipment upon receipt.
  • Install or provide personal assistance to other service personnel in the standard installation and configuration of all computer systems, including hardware and peripheral.
  • Install standard software packages associated with such systems as operating systems, word processing systems or spreadsheet programs onto the computer hard drives. Ensure legal licensing status for all computer systems.
  • Provide assistance and respond to client inquiries concerning systems operations, diagnoses of system hardware or software issues and other operator problems.
  • Provide basic instructions in the operations and use of standard configured equipment, software, and manuals to the end users, as needed.
  • Refer major hardware problems to the appropriate service personnel for correction.
  • Provide technical and service problem tracking detail to Senior Network Engineer. Complete a variety of accurate and timely reports, logs and forms, as required by the Senior Network Engineer.
  • Ensure that the workplace remains safe through the training, enforcement and use of the established IT policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist in protecting and safeguarding all property assets.
  • Assist in maintaining office supplies, forms and required equipment and assist in arranging for equipment maintenance.
  • Effectively and efficiently work under established time constraints to meet requested deadlines for all product installation, repairs, usage rates and other work related projects. Perform all other duties as assigned or required in order to meet the responsibilities of the position and for the Resort's operations.
  • Perform the preventative maintenance, repair, or arrange for the outside repair of all audio-visual (AV) equipment, as needed
  • Maintain a detailed inventory of all audio-visual (AV) equipment and its current availability or status.
  • Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality.
  • Leads by setting a positive example to all associates.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

AGE and GAMING:
21 years of age or above
Gaming property - Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED is required. Experience with server administration and server operating systems is preferred.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a working knowledge of PC operating systems including Microsoft Office, computer hardware and peripheral equipment (printers, monitors and keyboards etc.).
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, and public groups.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
Essential duties for this position include but not limited to the following: able to stand or walk for long periods of time. Safely lift and/or move up to forty (40) pounds on occasions as well frequently walk, sit, and perform functions with each hand and arm. Repetitive bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling will be required throughout shift. Excessive use of computers and possible eye strain is possible throughout the assigned shift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke.
Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
