Summary:
This position offers both part-time and on-call opportunities. The Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to members and guests in a professional and courteous manner. This role ensures that all guests have a pleasant and memorable dining experience by adhering to the club's high standards of service, cleanliness, and hospitality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Guest Service: Greet and seat members and guests, providing a warm, friendly welcome.
  • Menu Knowledge: Present menus, answer questions about the menu and daily specials, and make recommendations.
  • Order Taking: Accurately take food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
  • Serving: Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper order and presentation standards.
  • Problem Solving: Address guest complaints or concerns swiftly and professionally.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including resetting tables, stocking supplies, and ensuring the general cleanliness of the dining room.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and management to ensure efficient service.
  • Billing: Present checks, process payments, and handle cash transactions.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations and ensure that serving practices meet the club's policies and standards.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • Previous serving experience, preferably in an upscale or country club setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of fine dining service standards.
  • Must have a valid Food Service Workers Card within 30 days of hire.
  • Proven knowledge of proper dining room etiquette and food sanitation and safety.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work all shifts required of the dining room operation.
  • Must be professional in attitude, demeanor and dress.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Minimum Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Language Skills:
The individual must have strong written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with employees and clients at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.
Availability:
Varied working hours to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Subject to callback during emergency conditions (severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.)
Work Environment:
The server works in a well-lighted, clean environment. S/he constantly interacts with other people and may have to handle several responsibilities at once. The Association maintains a smoke-free environment in its offices, buildings, and Clubhouse complex.
