About the Job

PCSP is a systems integrator headquartered in New Hudson, MI. We specialize in enterprise grade server, workstation, and networking equipment. Our integration team is central to our white-label fulfillment model, ensuring every unit that leaves our facility is built, configured, and tested to the exact specification our customers require.

Position Summary

The Integration Technician Lead is responsible for guiding the integration team on best practices for the entire integration process including the physical build-out, configuration, and quality control of the servers and workstations processed through PCSP’s staging and integration facility. This is a hands-on, bench-level role requiring technical proficiency with enterprise server and workstation hardware, BIOS/UEFI configuration, firmware management, RAID setup, and drive provisioning. The role bridges technical execution with leadership, requiring skills in cross-functional collaboration, project management and strategic problem solving. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works efficiently under throughput targets, and takes pride in delivering clean, consistent builds.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Mentoring

  • Mentor, coach, and educate team on best practices for integration design and development
  • Conduct peer reviews, and oversee hiring and performance evaluations
  • Define project schedules, track milestones, and forecast resource capacity
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolve technical challenges

Server Build & BOM Fulfillment

  • Execute server builds end-to-end against customer bills of materials
  • Install and verify all components per BOM: CPUs, DIMMs, NVMe/SAS/SATA drives, RAID controllers, NICs, HBAs, and PCIe expansion cards
  • Execute clean, professional-grade cable routing to ensure optimal airflow, thermal performance, and serviceability

BIOS, UEFI & Firmware Configuration

  • Configure BIOS/UEFI settings on servers and workstations to customer or standard build specifications
  • Update iDRAC, BIOS, NIC, HBA, and drive firmware using tools (iLO, Lifecycle Controller, OMSA, Dell Repository Manager)
  • Configure boot order, Secure Boot, power profiles, and PXE settings; validate all firmware versions prior to shipment
  • Create and manage RAID volumes (RAID 0/1/5/6/10) via RAID/HBA controllers; configure virtual disks, hot spares, and validate array integrity

Quality Control & Documentation

  • Perform POST validation and burn-in testing to ensure hardware stability and performance benchmarks are met
  • Maintain accurate build logs and quality control checklists to ensure 100% compliance with ISO guidelines and internal quality standards
  • Develop "how to" guides for various models and publish to the internal website
  • Maintain a clean, organized workbench and follow ESD handling procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience building, configuring, or servicing server hardware
  • Ability to read and execute against a technical BOM or work order with high accuracy; strong documentation habits
  • Able to work multiple projects/orders simultaneously with high accuracy and throughput
  • Proficiency with remote management interfaces (HPE iLO, Dell iDRAC) to troubleshoot and validate system configurations, as well as update firmware.
  • Familiarity with PXE booting, disk imaging, and command-line interfaces for firmware updates
  • Ability to handle delicate components and lift server chassis up to 50 lbs. and work at a bench for extended periods

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+, Server+, or vendor-specific certifications (Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco or Supermicro)
  • Experience with NVMe provisioning, PCIe HBA/NIC configuration, and OS imaging workflows
  • Prior experience in a hardware integration, depot repair, or VAR fulfillment environment
