Job description

Governance Process Analyst

The Opportunity:

As a Governance Process Analyst on our Enterprise Data Governance team, you will help operationalize and continuously improve business processes that safeguard the company's highest-value data assets. Working alongside governance leads, data stewards, product teams, security partners, and cross-functional stakeholders, you'll support the design, documentation, implementation, and ongoing optimization of governance processes that enable secure and compliant data usage across our enterprise data platforms.

In this role, you'll analyze existing business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, document future-state workflows, coordinate implementation activities, and help mature governance operations through process optimization, automation, and responsible use of AI. Your work will prioritize quality and consistency while helping the team deliver governance services more quickly, improve adoption, and reduce unnecessary manual effort. Your ability to organize complex information, collaborate across teams, and translate business needs into practical operational solutions will directly improve how Enterprise Data Governance delivers services across the company. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

What You'll Do:

As a Governance Process Analyst on our team, you will:

  • Develop, document, maintain, and continuously improve governance workflows, operating procedures, templates, and supporting resources that enable consistent Enterprise Data Governance operations.
  • Partner with governance leads and business stakeholders to gather requirements, document current-state processes, validate business needs, and support the design of future-state governance workflows.
  • Analyze existing governance processes to identify inefficiencies, operational risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement, recommending practical solutions that improve consistency and reduce manual effort.
  • Coordinate the implementation of approved process improvements by collaborating across teams to ensure successful adoption and consistent execution.
  • Support the optimization of Enterprise Data Governance services, including data access requests, governance reviews, operational controls, and other governance processes, by identifying opportunities to simplify and standardize work.
  • Develop and implement workflow automation and AI-enabled solutions that improve governance operations using tools such as Power Automate, workflow platforms, low-code solutions, templates, or basic scripting, partnering with engineering teams when advanced technical development is required.
  • Monitor governance process performance, collect operational metrics, identify recurring issues, and recommend continuous improvements based on data and stakeholder feedback.
  • Produce process documentation, training materials, knowledge articles, and communications that help ensure governance processes are understood and consistently followed.
  • Assist with governance initiatives and special projects by performing research, documenting requirements, coordinating activities, and tracking implementation progress.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience analyzing, documenting, or improving business processes, operational workflows, or standard operating procedures
  • Experience gathering business requirements and partnering with stakeholders to document current-state processes and support the design of improved workflows
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional implementation efforts and supporting the successful adoption of process improvements
  • Experience developing workflow automation or operational solutions using tools such as Power Automate, workflow platforms, low-code technologies, AI, or automation tools
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or analytical or automation tools used to support operational analysis and process improvement
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and translate findings into practical process improvements
  • Ability to use automation or AI to solve business problems
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience supporting data governance, information governance, data protection, compliance, or operational risk programs
  • Experience supporting identity and access management (IAM), access governance, or data access processes
  • Experience developing low-code automation or AI-enabled solutions to improve business processes
  • Experience supporting operational audits, process reviews, or compliance activities
  • Experience working with Databricks or other cloud data platforms
  • Knowledge of governance frameworks, policies, and operational controls
  • Possession of strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
