## Senior Industrial Engineering TechnicianFindlay,Ohio,USA## **Job Summary**This position is an **entry level** hands-on, **hourly** **opportunity** for a qualified individual to drive continuous improvement, process optimization, and hands-on technical support in our manufacturing environment. This role offers significant learning and growth potential for those looking to advance their career in engineering.* Work with machine operators and maintenance to maintain and improve processing equipment OEE.* Lead / support machine improvements for cost and quality projects.* Lead process optimization, root cause analysis, and capacity increases.* Facilitate projects and teach / mentor / train shop floor teams in lean strategies and concepts.* Provide day-to-day support to the dishrack grade 4s, engineering team, and operations leadership, including problem-solving, cost estimates, standard costs, labor and process flow / layouts.* Provide project management for implementing improvements to new and existing equipment.* Work cross functionally with other teams, including maintenance and tooling personnel, to drive solutions to equipment related problems.## **Minimum Requirements*** Minimum requirement 2 years of experience as an Engineering Tech, or a 2 or 4 year skilled trade certification.* Manufacturing process experience* Basic Problem-Solving Skills* Working knowledge of the following fundamentals: Project management, Dishrack Department or similar Support Operation processes that include welding, forming, and trimming of metal/wire products.* Demonstrated ability to manage LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures and lead safety initiatives## **Preferred skills and experiences*** **Education & Experience:** 2-year Associate’s degree in engineering or progress toward a degree. Experience with resistance welding, wire forming machinery, extensive mechanical knowledge, and design ability.* **Technical & Software Skills:** Proficient in AutoCAD and Solidworks/3D Solid Modeling. Experience creating working drawings, including GD&T. Knowledge of Google and Microsoft Office suites. Ability to use or learn SAP, data acquisition systems, P2P, and exposure to robotic automation.* **Manufacturing & Process Knowledge:** Comprehensive knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques in a Lean Manufacturing environment. Skilled in root cause analysis for product/process problems to drive improvement.* **Leadership & Interpersonal Skills:** Developed communication, project management, coaching, interpersonal, and team building skills. Resourceful and self-directed, with good judgment, planning, and analytical skills for introducing new concepts. Strong time management for multitasking, managing projects, and meetings.Uses all designated safety equipment, observes all safety rules, and follows recognized rules of safe practice. Maintains good housekeeping, keeps area and equipment clean.
