What youโ€™ll do:

  • Perform daily plant inspections and maintain the plant in a โ€œready to workโ€ condition before the start of each shift; complete required daily documentation.
  • Operate and monitor crushing plant processes to maintain smooth, efficient production and quality material output.
  • Continuously feed material to keep the crusher full and avoid stoppages; meet tons-per-hour expectations established by management.
  • Complete daily operator reports, production logs, and labor (man-hour) logs.
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices; help ensure all work activities are performed safely.
  • Identify equipment issues and immediately inform the Foreman and Plant Manager of maintenance problems.
  • Assist with routine maintenance and equipment repairs, as needed, to maximize plant uptime and product flow.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures; support Arcosa goals, plans, and mission.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and vendors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman and Plant Manager.

What youโ€™ll need:ย ย 

  • Work is performed primarily outdoors and may include exposure to varying temperatures.
  • Work environment may include high noise levels; approved hearing and other required personal protective equipment must be used.
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, crouching/stooping/kneeling.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Travel between plant locations may be required based on business needs, market trends, and stockpile volumes.

Working condition: ย ย 

  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to walk across steep/rough terrain.
  • Must be able to climb, reach, bend, stoop around areas of plant equipment.
  • Ability to climb heights of 60 feet on a regular basis
  • Ability to lift, carry, and/or pull 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to work in heat, cold, wet/dry/dusty conditions and loud noise environment
  • Required to wear safety equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, goggles, steel toed boots, ear plugs, respirator, gloves and various other similar items as required.
