POSITION SUMMARY
Working under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing quality car care products by operating, monitoring and adjusting production equipment along the operation's high-speed production lines.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate and maintain high-speed production lines to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Filling different types of packaging containers from pint size to 55-gallon drums.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed established production standards.
  • Perform equipment adjustments to maintain optimal operation and product quality.
  • Preparing processing equipment by making setup adjustments and assisting with changeovers.
  • Accurately document production processes, including completing logs, calculating statistics, and tracking the receipt, flow, and return of materials.
  • Preparing trainees for production responsibilities by demonstrating teamwork, leadership and following standard operating procedures.
  • Completing production, productivity, inspection, downtime and safety reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining quality standards by conducting first-piece and line inspections.
  • Reporting production and quality issues by recording data and reporting unresolved issues to the supervisor.
  • Inspecting equipment and its parts to assure conformance to specifications.
  • Contribute to maintaining a culture committed to the safety of its employees; reporting unsafe acts and conditions to the appropriate Supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment at the employee's assigned workstations.
  • Perform other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned by production supervisors or managers.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 2+ years of production experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and standards, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective production of goods.
  • Ability to read gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure proper machine operation.
  • Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of, MSDS, lock-out/tag-out, and OSHA requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with production staff.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities to meet deadlines on schedule.
  • Ability to influence others and work within cross-functional teams to make responsible decisions.
  • Possess a high tolerance of ambiguity and flexibility with respect to job functions and working hours in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANIDATES WITH THE FOLLOWING
  • 5+ years of production operations experience, particularly in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience as a production lead/supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a high-speed line manufacturing or processing industry.
  • Experience in the automotive industry.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times per hour throughout the shift.
  • Capable of pushing, pulling, and maneuvering heavy loads as required for up to 10 hours a day.
  • Frequent ascending and descending of stairs multiple times per hour.
  • Ability to sustain prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching as part of daily operations.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Regular exposure to chemical fumes, vapors, and airborne particles associated with chemical manufacturing processes.
  • Work performed in a non-climate-controlled environment, subject to varying temperatures and humidity levels.
  • Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, goggles, safety glasses, foot protection, chemical-resistant clothing, and, when required, a respirator depending on the chemical exposure.
  • Frequent handling of chemicals and materials, with strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Potential exposure to loud noises, requiring the use of hearing protection in designated areas.
  • Potential exposure to flashing lights, which may be present due to machinery or safety signaling, requiring workers to be aware of and manage the associated visual stimuli.
