City : Destrehan State : Louisiana (US-LA) Country : United States (US) Requisition Number : 44750 A Day in the Life:The Operator Trainee is responsible for learning and overseeing multiple functions of the soybean processing facility. This role is also responsible for demonstrating a commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture withing the site, continually improve the site?s food safety management system, and comply with customer and regulatory requirements. Position Details:12-hour rotating shifts: 6am-6pm or 6pm-6amPay: $27.10 an hourBunge offers a variety of benefitsincludinghealth and wellness plans,retirement contribution and paid vacation/holidays.What You?ll Be Doing:Review shift logs and plant status throughout the workdayRecognize signs of operational failure and proceed and act accordinglyOperate, control, inspect, and troubleshoot various soybean processing equipment, and document as neededMake regular process adjustments to maintain operating parameters as neededCollect, record, and perform necessary process control tests, and document as neededCollect and process quality product samplesFollow HACCP procedures and guidelines to ensure product safety and qualityMaintain general housekeeping of the plantCross train in all processesObtain process safety management certificationOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Experience as a process technician (2+ years preferred), or completed or actively working on a 2-year process technician degreeGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a safety-conscious and highly quality-controlled environmentAbility to maintain a good working relationship with other facility personnelPreferred Qualifications: High school diploma or GEDAt Bunge (NYSE: BG), our purpose is to connect farmers to consumers to deliver essential food, feed and fuel to the world.
