Job Title:Software Engineering Intern

Job Description:ย 

  • Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles in the development of software for the target applicationย ย 

  • Work closely with cross functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall systemย 

  • Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test of embedded software for real-time control of advanced tactical radio equipmentย 

  • Develop software test procedures, software programs, and related documentationย ย 

  • Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate resultsย 

  • Participate in peer reviews, identify, track and repair defectsย 

  • Utilize a variety of software languages (i.e., C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, Ajax, Qt) on Windows, Linux, mobile platforms, and embedded real time operating systems (VxWorks, Linux, QNX, Integrity, Windows CE, and others for Motorola, Intel, TI, and custom processor designs)ย 

Digital Signal Processingย 

  • Apply digital signal processing (DSP), communication systems, and software engineering concepts and principles in the development of software for the target applicationย 

  • Understanding of time domain versus frequency domain analysis, filter structures, and modulation/coding algorithmsย 

  • Work closely with cross functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall systemย 

  • Support and participate in all phases of the software and firmware development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test of embedded software for real-time control of advanced tactical radio equipment in an agile environmentย 

  • Develop software test procedures, software programs, and related documentationย 

  • Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate resultsย 

  • Participate in peer reviews, identify, track and repair defectsย 

  • Utilize a variety of software languages (primarily C, C++, and VHDL as well as scripting languages) on embedded Linux and real-time operating system platforms (QNX, Motorola, Intel, TI, and custom processor designs)ย 

Qualifications:ย 

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fieldย

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $28.50 - $52.50. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
