About the Team
We are a fast-paced manufacturing facility and distribution center in the Portland, Oregon metro area. We employ approximately 110 diverse and talented associates in warehousing, production picking, hardware, distribution/shipping, customer service, production planning, assembly, finishing and packaging of top-quality lighting fixtures and house parts.

Overview of the Operations Manager role
As an Operations Manager, you will lead a team of hourly warehouse associates across Production Picking and Hardware, the Distribution/Shipping team, and the Customer Service team. You will work closely with the Director of Manufacturing to ensure efficient and accurate picking, packaging, and processing of production orders and outbound shipments, as well as all retail store, B2B and general customer order inquiries. You will function as the primary contact for all service, picking, and distribution correspondence.

Responsibilities
    Lead and direct hourly associates to meet or exceed operational goals, as well as monitoring performance, providing coaching, counseling, and development; and use Key Performance Indicators to make ongoing improvements and enhancements.
    Partner with the Inventory Control team, production planning, and finishing/assembly departments to investigate problems and develop solutions to maintain an efficient, end-to-end operation.
    Oversee strategy for B2B orders, retail store replenishment and display orders. Ensure order accuracy and lead times are met.
    Drive continuous improvement in productivity, cost control, service, inventory accuracy, housekeeping, and safety.
    Accountable for maintaining integrity for on-time shipments, people utilization, quality/damages; provide periodic reports, ensuring accurate communication.
    Direct and oversee job assignments and plan daily, weekly, monthly, and labor schedules.
    Manage and develop systems, processes, and procedures to maintain efficiency.
    Motivate a team to work together in the most efficient manner.
    Work in a fast paced, dynamic manufacturing operations environment

Criteria
    At least five (5) years of management experience with a progressive track record of increasing responsibility in distribution, warehouse/fulfillment, customer service, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
    Experience packaging and shipping products is very helpful; hands-on experience with UPS and other parcel or LTL carrier logistics is a huge plus.
    Proven track record of managing a team.
    Advanced MS Office applications and technical acumen. Customer ordering systems and ERP/MRP system experience 
    Ability to communicate effectively to team members, cross functional partners, and leadership.
    Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency, and drive
