  • Coordinate with stamping engineers to ensure all designs comply with applicable national and local standards (e.g., CSA, OHSA, Building Codes).
  • Manage team schedules, including overtime and time off, to maintain service efficiency.
  • Direct or perform structural analyses to ensure safety, constructability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee preparation of general arrangement, fabrication, and assembly drawings in 2D and 3D.
  • Provide conceptual and technical guidance to Draftspeople, Designers, and Engineers, reviewing and validating their work.
  • Supervise creation and verification of material lists.
  • Approve or coordinate authentication of drawings and calculations.
  • Ensure project deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate, up-to-date engineering invoices for submission and approval.
  • Coordinate invoicing for engineering services.
  • Recruit, train, and manage performance of direct reports.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, providing coaching, support, and growth opportunities.
  • Mentor Draftspeople, Designers, Engineers, and Engineers-in-Training (EITs).
  • Identify skill gaps and arrange relevant technical or professional training.
  • Conduct annual and mid-year feedback and development discussions.
  • Communicate effectively across departments to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Exemplify PERI's core values, leadership principles, and success factors.
