Wieland is hiring a Process Engineer. The Process Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, trouble shooting and enhancing of continuous flow processes and equipment utilizing problem solving techniques. This role is located in Pine Hall, NC and will be fully on-site.
Responsibilities
Process Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Learn all machine functions and process flow of assigned area and corresponding quality requirements.
  • Become subject matter expert for the technical and quality aspects of assigned area, optimizing, developing, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Analyze, record and maintain process data for future reference.
  • Identify, design and implement optimization of workflow in accordance too quality requirements, to boost productivity, increase Machine Uptime and eliminate the 8 waste according to Lean Manufacturing principle.
  • Lead continuous improvement and implements cost reduction activities.
  • Develop and deliver training on new and revised SOP to department trainers.
  • Utilize problem solving and statistical tools (such as A3 and Six Sigma technique) to resolve processing and quality issues.
  • Experience PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Analysis)
  • Participate in the development and execution of equipment installation and operational qualifications to achieve expected process capability.
  • He/she will work to minimize repairs and maintenance required through collaboration of Preventative Maintenance activities.

Process Engineer Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment with mechanical and/or production processes, quality assurance, and Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree required (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Materials Science Engineering preferred).
  • Flexible, people oriented and able to work in a team environment.
  • Possess strong and demonstrated analytical and decision making skills that foster developing creative solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment - strong ability to multitask complex projects efficiently.
  • Ability to support operating goals and to execute process improvement projects, including the ability to define, develop, and document requirements.
  • Experience with project planning, meeting deadlines, and staying within budget.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point required. Access, SQL and Minitab preferred.
