Job Description
The Technical Writer/Protocol Development Specialist works with the engineering staff to document design verification activities, engineering technical reports, and manufacturing/service procedures. This position will focus on creating comprehensive technical documentation and support record-keeping activities necessary in the world of medical device compliance.
Job Duties:
  • Document Engineering Design Activities
    1. Working with engineering staff to document project plans, inputs (requirements/specifications), design reviews, outputs, and verification and validation protocols and results
  • Development of Verification and Validation Protocols
    1. Working with engineering staff to plan how a set of requirements will be verified and validated.
    2. Outline the general approach to test each specific requirement.
    3. Develop the specific individual test steps for each specific requirement.
  • Release Engineering Technical Reports
    1. Incorporate engineering information into a standardized technical report format
  • Development and Maintenance of Engineering Library
    1. Develop and maintain a library of example images to use in manufacturing and servicing procedures.
