Manufacturing Process Engineer – CNC/CAD-CAM
Location: Naperville, IL
Schedule: Full-time, onsite; occasional overtime and weekends
Compensation: $90-100

Position Summary
Our client, a precision-manufacturing job shop, is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Process Engineer to manage assigned jobs from initial review through production completion. This role combines manufacturing engineering, 3D CAD, CAM programming, tooling design, documentation, and production troubleshooting.

Responsibilities
  • Review customer drawings, specifications, tolerances, and GD&T.
  • Evaluate designs for manufacturability.
  • Create 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
  • Develop CAM programs and detailed work travelers.
  • Design tooling, gauges, fixtures, dies, and workholding.
  • Troubleshoot machining and part-production issues.
  • Support machining, laser cutting, stamping, welding, and fabrication.
  • Communicate with customers regarding designs, approvals, and job issues.
  • Support Sales, Estimating, Production, and Quality.
  • Manage multiple jobs and demanding deadlines.
Qualifications
  • Manufacturing or engineering experience in a job-shop or precision-manufacturing environment.
  • Experience taking manufacturing projects from review through completion.
  • Proficiency with any comparable 3D CAD platform.
  • CAD/CAM or CNC programming experience.
  • Strong machining, tooling, fixture, blueprint, and GD&T knowledge.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication and technical-writing skills.
  • Mechanical Engineering degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR regulations.
