Location: SOUTHCOM HQ, Doral, FL / Off-site
Office: U.S. SOUTHERN COMMAND J2
Required clearance: No
Required education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience in financial management.
Description:
  • Develop and refine business process models, optimizing workflows for program execution and interagency coordination.
  • Identify areas for process automation, efficiency improvements, and performance tracking, ensuring alignment with DoD best practices.
  • Submit a quarterly Business Process Optimization & Automation Report, detailing process improvements, automation strategies, and workflow enhancements.
  • Required Experience:
  • Possess the knowledge and capability to track program financials, manage budgets, and align funding streams with DoD financial planning processes.
  • Must be proficient in the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process, financial forecasting, and cost estimation.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills are required to support funding justifications and expenditure tracking.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in DoD budget execution, cost estimation, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with defense financial management systems, congressional budget justifications, and funding reconciliation is required.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Desirable but not required certifications include Lean Six Certification, PMP Certification, KM Certification, Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), CPA, or DAWIA Level II in Financial Management.
