DescriptionThe Process Engineer develops and documents manufacturing techniques, materials, tools and processes related to back-end semiconductor assembly. Performs analyses and selects techniques to solve problems and enhance product yield and process flows.
Responsibilities- Establishes high yielding, cost effective processes based on product need and customer requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of new developments in manufacturing and design technologies.
- Develops and executes Design of Experiments (DOE) for process optimization utilizing appropriate statistical analysis software, such as JUMP, Minitab, Excel Statistics, or equivalent.
- Establishes processes based on product specifications.
- Evaluates and validates process and design alternatives based on product manufacturability.
- Understands principles of cost of goods sold and develops process improvements to increase cost effectiveness of manufacturing.
- Understands intellectual property issues relative to processes being developed.
- Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors and vendors.
- May serve as member on cross-functional project teams.
- Understands work environment issues (i.e. OSHA regulations, etc.)
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
- Recent college graduates may be considered for this position, relevant technical internship/co-op experience preferred
- Working knowledge of MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-STD-883, ISO9001 and EIA/JEDEC and standards
- Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
