Summary:

MaineHealth Behavioral Health is implementing a portfolio of high-priority transformation initiatives resulting from a system-wide operational assessment conducted by FTI Consulting. These initiatives focus on patient access, operational efficiency, workforce optimization, analytics, technology, clinical integration, and CCBHC readiness. The organization seeks project support to assist with coordination, tracking, reporting, process improvement, and implementation activities. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in large-scale healthcare transformation while allowing students to contribute fresh thinking, technology expertise, and innovative approaches to organizational change. A dedicated project manager, supported by a Co-Op student, will play a critical role in ensuring successful execution of these high-impact initiatives and advancing MaineHealth Behavioral Health's vision for the future.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: bachelors degree preferred or 4 years relative experience
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: At least 2 years of advanced administrative support experience is required. Additional years of experience above the requirements may substitute for educational requirements on a one-to-one basis (i.e. one year of experience equals one year of education).
  4. Basic knowledge of healthcare systems, with previous experience in healthcare industry and customer service preferred.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including drafts of correspondence and other written materials.
  6. Strong software and computer skills, including Microsoft Office (including Power Point, Access, and Excel), database development and website development, Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  7. Ability to work both independently and to collaborate with teams of individuals in diverse settings.
  8. Analytical ability to gather and interpret data in situation where the problems are moderately complex.
  9. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
