As a Supply Chain Co-Op, you will work directly with other members of the Supply Chain department, as well as Engineering, Manufacturing, and a diverse supply base. The interaction with these various groups will allow the individual to build communication skills and improve critical thinking in a professional atmosphere.

This position is for a Spring 2027 Co-Op, with a start date of January 2027 and an end date of May 2027.

What You’ll Do:

  • Process the purchases of select Maintenance, Repair, and Operation (MRO) orders with assistance and oversight of the Indirect Procurement team.
  • Work with various software and E-commerce systems.
  • Work on projects and producing reports to assist buyers.
  • Analyze, prepare, and negotiate quote packages.
  • Assist with the liquidation of obsolete raw material and parts inventory.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with vendors, buyers, internal stakeholders & management.
  • Troubleshoot vendor or order issues to help maintain the orderly function of the department.
  • Apply Total Cost of Ownership metrics in evaluating purchasing decisions.
  • Keep good records.
  • Pass on your knowledge and assist with the training of your successor.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Major study in:

- Business, preferably with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management or Operations

- Engineering Management or Applied Engineering Sciences

  • Be an enthusiastic and self-motivated sophomore, junior, or senior.
  • Minimum 2.8 GPA.
  • Basic computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent judgment and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the purchasing processes, including a basic understanding of inventory control, EOQ, A/B/C prioritization, etc. is preferred.
